Wiener Cafehaus in Lubeck

We took a seat downstairs until I noticed that the upstairs are even more comfortable seats. Unfortunately, our order was already taken down at the time, but the nice lady (waitress) did not hesitate to comply with our request. The cakes were amazing and the coffee was delicious.

Delicious breakfast and damn good pies. So far I had only tried a pumpkin soup for lunch, but it was also delicious. The waiters are always very friendly and professional. The coffee is also highly recommended. We like to come here.

In contrast to several other reviews here, we were all enthusiastic about the food as well as the staff. Very friendly and accommodating. We didn't have to wait long either. Everything was great in terms of taste. Prices are in the middle. I don't expect cheap prices with the ambience.

After the staff had only been asked to clean the table, pregnant women asks whether they should take the ashtray from the table. The staff then throws it under the table in front of the feet of my pregnant wife and our 2 year old son (whereupon a colleague said it was normal when asked and whether it bothered us).

Coffee costs € 3.50 and you get colored water. No taste. And the price a rip off. The second star is only given for the kind service

Definitely visit! Nice atmosphere in which you also feel very comfortable. Delicious cakes, good coffee and everything that goes with it. The service is super nice and courteous. The toilets are very clean. A little more expensive in terms of price, but it's definitely worth it!

A special place. Very historical. A bit expensive but totally worth it. The food and the cakes are very good.

We were there for lunch. Service was friendly and quick despite full occupancy. Tarte flambée was unfortunately only lukewarm but still very good. You had to season. Matjes was delicious. I think prices are rather high for a vegetarian tarte flambée 12.50 euros. No hygiene concept recognizable. The tables are not disinfected and the waitress does not wear a face mask.

Very friendly service, food and drinks also very good quality. From my point of view, prices reasonable for downtown location in the Unesco World Heritage of Lübeck's old town. If you complain here, you should compare the prices of gastronomy in other European countries at so-called tourist hotspots.

Nice ambience, clean sanitary facilities, delicious ice cream and fruit cups, but a little economical version with a lot of cream "stretched", overpriced for the amount offered. Personnel should be trained urgently.

Ambience is nice and especially in the upper part of the café. Staff was friendly, but clearly understaffed for the number of guests. Cake offer varied and delicious. Apple strudel and ice cream also delicious. Priced higher, but probably normal for Lübeck.

On vacation I need a contrast program - also culinary. What must always go hand in hand with this is the service quality. The name Wiener Cafehaus alone is enough of an obligation, but that doesn't seem to have worked with some employees. If we are greeted with a "bother you" face, I would like to turn around. Everything we ordered or asked was probably a bit of a strain on the waitress. The lady seemed to find it difficult to smile. Choppy sentences came without any explanations. Communication was kept to the bare minimum. There were no emotions. That was a shame because both the breakfast menu and the ice cream were quite tasty. All in all, the operation seemed completely overwhelmed and unmotivated from the start. Perhaps you should explain to her again that guests can come when you are open. Therefore not recommended. Incidentally - we were having breakfast on June 1st, 2020 and I think an invoice is completely normal and does not have to be requested separately.

The positive in advance, the breakfast tasted good. In terms of price in relation to the small amount, that was the least. The lady who served on the terrace is the last to say the least. We have never been so rude. We asked very kindly if there was still space outside. There was a short no and she didn't even stop there. By the way, when we went in there was a free space outside. Once at the top we had to wait a long time for breakfast. Unfortunately then again on the sugar, which we had to order separately. Unfortunately, the café is not a snapper either, so you could justify it all. Too bad, but again with an experience.

Very nice place excellent coffee!

We stopped here for a coffee and hot chocolate. Drinks were lovely, staff friendly and good atmosphere. With being upstairs, could see the street below and being winter was a chance to warm up. Well worth it.

Interior was nice. Staff friendly. I had a salad with salmon - not too good. I liked the coffee with cream and dessert.

Of course it's sy tourist trap! But who cares? Dlightly overpriced, good products and an adequate staff at a premium location. Good enough!

This Viennese cafe should be on the plan during a city tour. Very nice atmosphere with quiet discreet music in the background. In any case, you should go to the first floor, where you can escape the day and enjoy peace and quiet. The food is very tasty and well prepared. A visit is worthwhile and can be recommended

Something between 3 and 4 stars: Sachertorte was amazing, coffee was bad (burned taste and poorly steamed milk), beautiful ceiling upstairs, service friendly.

Very pretty locale upstairs and tasty bakery, but also slow waitressing and high prices.

The slowest service I ever experienced in Germany and way to overpriced for nothing special.
